(a) Patient who presented with acute right hemiplegia, aphasia, and evidence of occlusion (thrombolysis in cerebral infarction grade = 0) of the left middle cerebral artery M1 branch (arrow). (b) Stent retrieval of the occluding thrombus, results in complete recanalization (thrombolysis in cerebral infarction grade = 3) of the left middle cerebral artery M1 branch, with visualization of distal branches.
