Thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura

Axial T2-weighted sequence at the level of lateral ventricles (A), shows bilateral, near-symmetric signal abnormalities in globi pallidi. Axial diffusion b-1000 diffusion-weighted imaging shows symmetric diffusion signal abnormalities in globi pallidi bilaterally (B,C), confirmed as increased diffusion by correspondent apparent diffusion coefficient map (arrow, D).
