Vascular supply of thalamic nuclei

Thalamic nuclei- VA: ventral anterior, VL: ventral lateral, VPL: ventral posterior lateral, VPM: ventral posterior medial, MG: medial geniculate, LG: lateral geniculate, MD: medial dorsal. Blood vessels- ICA: internal carotid artery, ACA: anterior cerebral artery, MCA: middle cerebral artery, P Com A: posterior communicating artery; PCA: posterior cerebral artery, BA: basilar artery, PMA: paramedian mesencephalic artery, TG: thalamogeniculate, P Med and Lat Choroid a: posterior medial and lateral choroidal artery, P1 and P2: 1st and 2nd segment of PCA.
