Spinal neurocysticercosis

MRI of the spinal cord shows an intramedullary ring-enhancing lesion with eccentric scolex. The patient presented with acute transverse myelopathy. Corticosteroid treatment is often helpful. The role of albendazole is not defined. In some patients, surgical removal is performed. (Contributed by Dr. Ravindra Kumar Garg.)
