Myoclonic absence seizure of idiopathic (unknown) cause (video-EEG)

EEG from a boy with a variability of typical myoclonic absence seizure while standing. Synchronous with the generalized spike-wave discharge, the upper part of his body, upper limbs, and right leg rhythmically jerk with concomitant unsteadiness, but he doesn’t fall. During the event, the body slightly turned to the right and the head to the left. (Contributed by Dr. Athanasios Covanis.)
