Brainstem glioma (7)

Unenhanced midsagittal T1-weighted MRI (TR 500/TE 16) of a 32-year-old woman with horizontal gaze palsy, dysarthria, lower motor neuron left facial weakness, and right hemiparesis. The scan demonstrates a hypointense, expansile lesion of the ventral pons. Biopsy proved anaplastic astrocytoma. (Contributed by Dr. Herbert Newton.)
