Inching studies in carpal tunnel syndrome

Inching studies of the median nerve with stimulation at 1 cm increments starting 1 cm proximal to the distal wrist crease and recording with ring electrodes on the index finger show a significant delay between the third and the fourth response with a peak latency difference of 0.7 msec.
