Ashesha Mechineni MD

Dr. Ashesha Mechineni is a board-certified physician in Internal Medicine, Sleep Medicine, and Obesity Medicine. She completed her Sleep Medicine Fellowship at UIC and has served in various academic and clinical roles across the country.

Her work spans clinical care, medical education, and research, with a particular interest in the use of artificial intelligence in sleep medicine, OSA phenotyping, and treatment optimization. Dr. Mechineni has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications, contributed to national conferences, and serves on several committees within the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, the American College of Chest Physicians, and the Illinois Sleep Society, where she currently chairs the Fellows Presentation Committee.

She is a passionate advocate for interdisciplinary education and sleep health equity, actively contributing to national task forces and working groups to advance the field.
