Cibele Dal Fabbro received training in dental medicine, and her master was concluded at USP– Universidade de Sao Paulo - Bauru School of Dentistry) in Prosthodontics and Orofacial Pain, when she started to be also part of the sleep interdisciplinary group at UNIFESP. She completed a specialty in Orofacial Pain and Acupuncture at USP – Medical School and a PhD in Sleep Medicine at UNIFESP– Medical School. While part of the sleep team, she had her own dental clinic, where she worked mainly in dental sleep medicine, orofacial pain, and prosthodontics. Her topics of research are sleep apnea and sleep bruxism. Since 2012, she has been the Dental Sleep Medicine Program Coordinator at the Sleep Institute in Sao Paulo, Brazil (210h course), and some other short and online courses at Neosono, also in Brazil. She wrote three books, among them, the first DSM book in Portuguese language (2009 and 2012) and about 50 papers in the sleep field. She is certified by the Brazilian Sleep Board from the ABS (Brazilian Sleep Association) and is past-president of the ABROS, the DSM Brazilian association. Nowadays, she is a member of the WDSS (World Dentofacial Sleep Society) board, the scientific committee at EADSM (European Association of Dental Sleep Medicine), and DSM coordinator at ABS (Brazilian Sleep Association). She distributes her time between Sao Paulo, Brazil and Montreal, Canada, where she is an associate professor at Université de Montréal and a research assistant at the Center for Advanced Research in Sleep Medicine, CIUSSS NIM.
