Clinical interests: Emotional Intelligence

Dr. Sharma received her PhD in Emotional Intelligence from the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, India. At present, she is building a new Emotional Intelligence model by collecting data from countries--USA, Australia, Canada, Israel, Dubai, and India. Her previous projects at Cornell include administrating fMRI study for valence and arousal of emotions. She has been a co-guide to master students in her thesis relating to
emotional intelligence at the workplace in the USA. Dr. Sharma recently wrote a chapter on Emotion at Work for Springer Nature. She has done four TEDx talk and has curated graduate students' well-being sessions at
Cornell in GradSWE. Dr. Sharma is part of the Cornell Multicultural Academic Counseling mentoring program, counseling and guiding PhD students, and is part of WE Cornell, a women's entrepreneurial club. Her
recent initiative is the podcast Student of the World to communicate with students of different countries and understand how they are evolving in the unique times of pandemic. She is also part of the Cornell postdoctoral leadership program. Currently, she is working on a book on emotional intelligence.
