Dr. Dawod completed her neurology residency at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital / Weill Cornell Medicine in New York City.

Her research focuses on stroke outcomes, vascular risk factors, and evolving treatment strategies in cerebrovascular disease. Her work has been published in peer-reviewed journals including JAMA, Stroke, and the Journal of Stroke and Cerebrovascular Diseases. She currently serves as a Section Editor and member for the Digital Strategy Team for S:VIN, the official journal of the Society of Vascular and Interventional Neurology, reviewing the latest vascular neurology literature and contributing to initiatives aimed at expanding the journal’s digital presence and scholarly outreach. She remains actively involved in clinical research and academic collaborations focused on advancing evidence based stroke care and improving outcomes in patients with cerebrovascular disease.
