Irina Anna Skylar-Scott MD

Dr. Skylar-Scott is a diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology as well as the United Council for Neurologic Subspecialties in Behavioral Neurology and Neuropsychiatry. Prior to joining Stanford, Dr. Skylar-Scott earned a bachelor’s degree at MIT followed by an MD from Yale. After an HHMI research fellowship, she completed her residency in neurology and fellowship training in behavioral neurology at Harvard. Her clinic is dedicated to caring for patients with dementia. She is currently a site principal investigator for two clinical trials for Alzheimer disease, and she is a co-investigator with the Stanford Alzheimer's Disease Research Center and the Stanford Aging and Memory Study. She is also serving as Topic Co-Chair for Aging and Dementia for the 2024 American Academy of Neurology Annual Meeting.
