Typical presentations of cranial base tumors include cranial neuropathies such as double vision, facial pain, vision loss, or swallowing difficulty; pituitary/hypothalamus dysfunction, seizures, brain or brainstem compression including personality changes, weakness, coordination; and headache. Clinical manifestations are variable and largely dependent on the anatomic location, size, and extent of edema, and prognosis is likewise dependent on the histology and location of the tumor.
