Dr. Beattey is a clinical and forensic psychologist with a focus on neuropsychological, civil, and criminal forensic assessment. He is Board Certified in Forensic Psychology.

Dr. Beattey previously served as Chief of Psychology and Co-Director of the Center for Brain Health at Fairfax Behavioral Health in the Pacific Northwest. Also an attorney, he teaches and conducts research unified by a focus on evidence-based decision- making in clinical, legal, and public policy contexts. He previously served as a member of the faculty at Arizona State University's School of Social and Behavioral Sciences, as Legal Director for a non-profit policy organization, and as a local prosecutor.

Dr. Beattey is the author of a number of peer-reviewed empirical studies that have been published in clinical and public policy journals, as well as a frequent contributor to edited volumes, professional conferences, and other professional works.
