Age-related macular degeneration (2)

(A) Neovascular net under the macula. This patient presented with a chief complaint of metamorphopsia immediately adjacent to fixation. A gray-green area can be seen deep to the retinal pigment epithelium. (B) Fluorescein angiography of the same eye. Here fluorescein angiography reveals a well-circumscribed neovascular net that appears amenable to laser treatment. Had it been allowed to grow, the outcome would have been much more guarded.
