Progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy in a 67-year-old woman with idiopathic immune complex-mediated membranoproliferative glomerulonephritis with stage III chronic kidney disease. Brain biopsy was performed prior to this MRI. (A) T2 FLAIR sequence reveals white matter lesions that spare the cortex with associated enhancement on the T1-weighted post-gadolinium image.
