Ethambutol optic neuropathy (fundus photograph)

A 68-year-old patient with a mild cataract had progressive visual loss in both eyes associated with cecocentral scotomas. In this fundus photograph of the left eye, note the temporal pallor associated with loss of the papillomacular nerve fiber layer. (Contributed by Dr. Alfredo Sadun.)
