Coronal MRI of the previous patient (a 10-year-old boy with right facial epidermal nevus, hemifacial lipomatosis, and hemimegalencephaly) shows the cranial osseous dysplasia on the side overlying the dysplastic cerebral hemisphere; expansion of the frontal diploic space (more evident on the right side) is an uncommon finding. The lateral ventricles show straightening of the right frontal horn, a characteristic sign in hemimegalencephaly. (Contributed by Dr. Laura Flores-Sarnat.)
