Periodic lateralized epileptiform discharges (EEG)

Periodic lateralized epileptiform discharges (PLEDs) are semi-rhythmic epileptiform (spikes or sharp waves or complexes) that usually occur at a frequency between 1 and 3 Hz. PLEDs usually indicate a subacute structural lesion. (Contributed by Dr. Jeffrey Nicholl and Dr. David Gloss.)
