Pilocytic astrocytoma within the left middle cerebellar peduncle (MRI)

MRI of a 47-year-old woman with a 3-month history of headaches and left upper extremity incoordination. Left: Unenhanced T2-weighted image (TR 7500/TE 102) demonstrating a well-circumscribed, hyperintense lesion within the left middle cerebellar peduncle. There is little distortion of nearby brainstem structures. Right: Enhanced T1-weighted MRI (TR 550/TE 30) at the same level, revealing the lack of enhancement within this tumor.
