Moderate-severe chronic airflow obstruction in a 44-year-old male (summary hypnogram)

The study demonstrates REM-associated oxygen desaturation with some REM-associated respiratory events. The oxygen desaturation is out of proportion to the respiratory events. This is consistent with the recognized REM-associated hypoventilation and hypercapnia that occurs in patients with chronic lung disease. (Contributed by Dr. James Herdegen.)
