Shown are microscopic findings of cyst wall of a neonate with the syndrome of partial callosal dysgenesis, interhemispheric glioependymal cysts, and cortical dysplasia. Notice the presence of multiple papillary formations suggesting a differentiation into choroid plexus. (Illustrations from: Barth PG, Uylings HB, Stam FC. Interhemispheral neuroepithelial (glioependymal) cysts, associated with agenesis of the corpus callosum and neocortical maldevelopment. Childs Brain 1984;11:312-9.)
