Pilocytic astrocytoma: Rosenthal fibers and bipolar stellate astrocytes

Pilocytic astrocytoma is characterized by bipolar cells with long delicate processes (hair cell), nuclear hyperchromasia, and moderate pleomorphism. Several Rosenthal fibers are also seen. (Contributed by Drs. Julio H Garcia and Eduardo J Eyzaguirre.)
