This early venous phase fluorescein demonstrates that the occluded venula has recannulated, which reduces the risk for a neovascular response. Central and branch retinal vein occlusions need to be monitored for an extended period of time to ensure that neovascularization does not occur. (Contributed by Dr. Rosa Tang.)
