Asterixis due to amiodarone

This is a 79-year-old male with sudden onset asterixis secondary to amiodarone hydrochloride. He also has cognitive decline and gait ataxia, which are typically observed as neurologic toxic effects of this medication. There was no evidence of liver damage.
