Intramedullary spinal cord metastatic tumor (MRI) (1)

(Left) An unenhanced, sagittal, T1-weighted MRI of the spine shows subtle enlargement of the conus medullaris by a lesion isointense to the spinal cord. (Right) Following intravenous administration of contrast, a T1-weighted MRI of the same area shows uniform enhancement of an intramedullary mass, consistent with a metastatic tumor.
