"Phantom limb" is a term used to designate the sensation of the presence of an extremity following its amputation, which may be painful.

Whorls, lobules, indistinct cell borders, and intranuclear pseudoinclusions characterize this syncytial meningioma. Whorls are characterized by concentric layers of tumor cells in a pattern somewhat comparable to that seen in the skin of onions. (Contributed by Drs. Julio Garcia and Eduardo Eyzaguirre.)
