Epilepsia partialis continua in 16-year-old girl

A 16-year-old girl with epilepsia partialis continua. Her EEG shows high-voltage theta-delta activity intermixed with sharp waves over the left hemisphere, with maximum expression on the somatosensory cortical areas. Her basal (left) and follow-up brain MRI (right) reveal a progressive atrophy of the right hemisphere with an anterior-posterior gradient. (Contributed by Dr. Pasquale Striano.)
