Retinal detachment (B-scan ultrasonography)

(A) A retinal detachment just superior to the optic nerve is shown in the fundus photograph. (B) B-scans for the same patient. Had the view of the fundus been obscured from visualization for any reason (eg, blood, cataract, etc.), the B-scan still would have been able to detect the detachment.
