Chondroid chordoma (photomicrograph)

This medium-power view demonstrates an area of classic chordoma with physaliphorous cells in the center of the field, within a chondroid region that has a cartilaginous matrix and stellate tumor cells inside lacunae. No anaplastic or malignant features are present. (Contributed by Dr. Herbert Newton.)
