Perioral myoclonia with brief generalized discharges of spike-wave and mild impairment of consciousness (EEG)

Sample from video EEG of an adult patient with perioral myoclonia with absences. Frequent, brief, generalized discharges of spike/polyspike-and-slow wave of one to three seconds duration are consistently associated with twitching of the corners of the mouth with noticeable delays and infrequent errors in breath-counting (annotated) during hyperventilation.
