Syncytial meningioma: whorls and lobules (photomicrograph)

Whorls, lobules, indistinct cell borders, and intranuclear pseudoinclusions characterize this syncytial meningioma. Whorls are characterized by concentric layers of tumor cells in a pattern somewhat comparable to that seen in the skin of onions. (Contributed by Drs. Julio Garcia and Eduardo Eyzaguirre.)
