Low-grade astrocytoma: microcystic features

Microcysts, often filled with proteinaceous fluid, are frequent in fibrillary astrocytomas. These microcysts are more frequently seen in oligodendrogliomas and rarely accompany reactive gliosis. (Contributed by Drs. Julio H Garcia and Eduardo J Eyzaguirre.)
