Chronic subdural hematoma (CT)

Non-enhanced CT showing large chronic subdural hematoma on the right side. There is effacement of ventricle on same side along with midline shift and subfalcine herniation. In the chronic phase, cellular elements have disintegrated, and a collection of serous fluid remains in the subdural space. This results in the hematoma appearing hypodense on a CT scan.
