We are delighted to present this interview with Dr. Josep Dalmau of IDIBAPS, University of Barcelona. Dr. Dalmau is a neurologist specializing in neuro-oncology, paraneoplastic syndromes, and autoimmune encephalitis. He is recognized as a world authority on autoimmune and paraneoplastic disorders affecting the nervous system and has discovered 10 autoimmune diseases, known as autoimmune encephalopathies, measured by anti-protein antibodies and cerebral receptors, including anti-NMDA receptor encephalitis.

Dr. Dalmau is interviewed by Dr. Francesc Graus and Dr. Raymond Roos. Dr. Graus is Emeritus Investigator at the Laboratory Clinical and Experimental Neuroimmunology, IDIBAPS, and Head of Neurology service at Hospital Clinic de Barcelona; he is also Sr. Associate Editor of Neuroimmunology for MedLink Neurology. Dr. Roos is the Marjorie and Robert E. Straus Professor in Neurological Science in the Department of Neurology at the University of Chicago and the Editor-in-Chief of MedLink Neurology.
