Spinal arteriovenous fistula (MRI)

Sagittal MR images of the cervical cord demonstrates the intramedullary lesion on the T1 precontrast (A), T1 post-contrast (B) and T2 weighted images (C). Angiography confirmed that this lesion was consistent with an aneurysm. Marked expansion of the cord is seen with extensive abnormal signal throughout the lower brainstem and cervical cord on the T2-weighted sequence. Multiple flow-voids are seen overlying the dorsal surface of the cord on the T2-weighted sequence consistent with dilated anomalous vessels seen on the angiography.
