Right frontotemporal epidural hematoma in a 26-year-old man with concomitant intradural pathology (CT)

Preoperative nonenhanced cranial CT scan (A) demonstrates an acute right frontotemporal epidural hematoma with ipsilateral ventricular effacement and mild shift of midline structures. Postoperative study (B) confirms complete decompression, with resolution of mass effect. In the interval between scans, however, a left frontal hemorrhagic contusion involving the deep white matter has coalesced (arrowhead). (Contributed by Dr. Vincent Traynelis.)
