Delayed sleep-wake phase disorder is a circadian rhythm sleep disorder characterized by late bedtime and wake times and an inherent delay of biological rhythms compared to the natural daylight, usually beginning in adolescence. Patients have otherwise normal sleep in quality and quantity. Treatment typically includes melatonin and bright light, augmented with behavior and lifestyle modifications.

Neurologic conditions may be associated with occupational or environmental exposures to heavy metals, such as lead and manganese. Conditions resulting from metal exposure may mimic routine neurologic disease, such as encephalopathy, movement disorders, neuropathy, or seizures. Neurotoxic illness is often a diagnosis of exclusion after considering other more common presentations for a condition.

Disorders of articulation manifest in the form of incorrect pronunciation, particularly of consonants. They are common in early childhood and are generally resolved by adolescence, although associated language and reading difficulties may persist.
