Subacute lobar intracerebral hematoma (MRI)

On this T2-weighted image, the hematoma occupies the right occipital lobe. The signal intensity is reduced within the hematoma (intracellular methemoglobin) and surrounded by hyperintense edema. (Contributed by Dr. Sherman Stein.)
