Dysembryoplastic neuroepithelial tumor (histologic appearance)

This section from a dysembryoplastic neuroepithelial tumor contains clusters of small, round cells with scant cytoplasm resembling oligodendrogliocytes. A few cytologically unremarkable neurons at various stages of differentiation are intermixed. The tumor was an incidental finding in an elderly man.
