Sleep-related eating disorder
Sleep-related eating disorder is a syndrome within the parasomnias consisting of nocturnal sleepwalking associated with compulsive eating behavior, occurring with variable degrees of consciousness impairment. Common features include binge eating, consumption of high-calorie foods, and elaborate but sloppy food preparation. It can be associated with psychotropic medications and with restless legs syndrome, narcolepsy, sleepwalking, or other parasomnias.
