Foramen magnum complications in syringomyelia (preoperative MRI)

Preoperative MRI scan of a 42-year-old woman with symptoms of syringomyelia and syringobulbia since the age of 9 years, mainly cervical pain with Valsalva maneuver, scoliosis, and lower limb weakness. Dysphagia since the age of 23 years. Vocal cord palsy at the age of 32 years. MRI: descent. Extensive cervical syringomyelia and syringobulbia. (Contributed by Dr. Martín Nogués.)
