Non-enhanced CT showing large chronic subdural hematoma on the right side. There is effacement of the ventricle on the same side along with a midline shift. There is marked cerebral atrophy on the opposite side. Atrophy of the brain, resulting in a space between the brain surface and the skull, increases the risk of a subdural hematoma.
