Left-sided chronic subdural hematoma (CT)

Non-enhanced CT showing large chronic subdural hematoma on right side. There is effacement of ventricle on same side along with midline shift. There is marked cerebral atrophy on opposite side. Atrophy of the brain, resulting in a space between the brain surface and the skull, increases the risk of subdural hematoma. (Contributed by Dr. Ravindra Kumar Garg.)
