MELAS cytotoxic edema

A 3-year-old girl with mitochondrial encephalomyopathy, lactic acidosis, and stroke-like episodes (MELAS) experiences cytotoxic edema over the left posterior head region after an episode of status epilepticus, mimicking a left posterior cerebral artery infarction.
