Encephalomalacia and gliosis secondary to prior ischemic insult (MRI)

This brain MRI shows bilateral hyperintense signal changes on fluid-attenuated inversion recovery (FLAIR) sequences in the parieto-occipital regions consistent with encephalomalacia and gliosis secondary to prior ischemic insult in a 68-year-old woman with Balint syndrome.
