Cortical dysplasia (MRI) (1)

Coronal spoiled gradient inversion recovery image (A) and coronal oblique FLAIR image (B) shows a focal area of gray matter thickening with blurring of the gray-white matter junction and corresponding high signal in the left parasagittal frontal lobe. These imaging findings are consistent with focal cortical dysplasia in a patient with medically refractory seizures. (Contributed by Dr. Diana Gomez-Hassan.)
