Streptococcus anginosus abscesses (MRI)

These mass lesions are hyperintense on T2-weighted image (A) and hypointense on T1-weighted image (B) with associated ring enhancement post-gadolinium injection. Note that due to its high purulence, there is prominent diffusion restriction on diffusion-weighted image (C) with ADC correlate (D). (Contributed by Dr. Lama Abdel Wahed.)
