Neurohypophysis (normal)

Sagittal spin-echo T1-weighted image of a 3-week-old term infant demonstrates normal pituitary stalk, anterior pituitary lobe, and posterior pituitary lobe (arrow). The slice thickness is 5 mm with an interslice gap of 1 mm. The neurohypophysis shows characteristic hyperintense T1 signal. (Contributed by Dr. Xing-Chang Wei.)
