Microsurgical clipping for unruptured anterior communicating artery aneurysm

(A) CT angiogram demonstrates an unruptured anterior communicating artery aneurysm that was further investigated with cerebral angiography. After receiving counseling on endovascular and open surgical treatment, the patient elected for microsurgical clipping. (B) Intra-operative imaging demonstrated a multi-lobed, wide-necked aneurysm. (C, D) The aneurysm was clipped with a combination of clips to reconstruct the aneurysm neck. (Contributed by Dr. Arthur Wang.)
