Dr. Christopher Walsh and genetic mechanisms underlying the developing and aging brain

Perspectives: Dr. Christopher Walsh

We're delighted to present another episode in the MedLink Neurology Perspectives series. Each episode features a clinician investigator who has made extraordinary contributions to neurology. Their stories uniquely add perspective to their research. We hope they inspire all clinicians toward excellence.

In this episode, Dr. Raymond Roos, MedLink Neurology Editor-In-Chief, interviews Dr. Christopher Walsh of Harvard Medical School, Boston Children’s Hospital, and the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. Dr. Walsh has studied patterns of neural stem cell division, cell fate choices, and cell migrations in the developing cerebral cortex and has pioneered the analysis of human genetic diseases that disrupt the cerebral cortex. He is the 2022 recipient of the prestigious Kavli Prize in Neuroscience.

The video interview, notes, and accompanying information about Dr. Walsh's ongoing projects can be found here.
